Last Weekend at the Fair

Last weekend, my friend, Thea, and I went over to the Dutchess County Fair. Partly, this trip served as an important testing of the route from my house to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds (where this will be happening very soon), and partly it was a trip to check out what this other event in Rhinebeck is all about. It turns out that it is mostly about fried food. We had a great time!

oh I love the crazy-looking chickens at the fair. I skipped out this year. I was actually almost going to go to the Dutchess County Fair for something different this year. So nice to meet you and your blog!

Looks fun but I'm counting down the days to the sheep and wool festival, it will be my third year attending.A must do if you have never been.

Thanks for stopping by, Allyson! The chickens were definitely (as you can probably tell) my favorite part. There were tons of that one with the big white "hat".

Do you go to Sheep and Wool? The fair was fun but Sheep and Wool is kind of a fair too. Although there are no chickens!

Janey -- I LOVE Sheep and Wool! I agree that it's a must-do. It's about my second-favorite thing in the entire year. Can't wait!!
